Holy Locust goes dark. This album has a desperate feel yet the urge to push ahead is always there. They somewhat push away from the folk feel to a more traditional classical music feel at times. I'm looking forward to seeing them live again, and after that I'm betting I'll come to conclude this is the best release by Holy Locust to date.

I remember when I first discovered Holy Locust, seeing a live performance that I was having trouble seeing over the heads of Bridge City Sinners lmao! But I have been in love with this album ever since I heard it. My homie has it on in his car constantly. The music is so rich and textured and beautiful, I'll never get over how amazing it is! Truly a masterpiece!
